I love the vector draw in the full version and being able to apply different brushes to it. Will this appear in the mobile version?

Hi -
Maybe in the future or if Apple does produce a larger version of the Touch. With the current size of the screen it's hard to do something like this without a very cumbersome interface. |

If you had pinch zoom function it might be easier. Brushes uses a zoom which allows easier drawing. You zoom locks you into a portion of the canvas. Maybe if you can use a two finger gesture to pan, it might be easier to work zoomed
Also, undo would be nice

Apple left out a way to set the magnification programmatically when using the pinch zoom so we couldn't have it work like the photo application where double tapping sets it back to 100%. If they fix this we'll reconsider the pinch. (Apple doesn't give independent developers access to everything they have.)

There is one level of undo. We restricted it t one level because of memory concerns but we'll try and lift the restriction in the next release. |

Things I would like to see:
1) Still would like to create vector drawings I could attach a brush to
2) A Fill to fill shapes drawn
3) Draw a shape that the outline could be one color and the fill, a second color.
4) A close shape switch that would automatically close a shape.
Thanks.

Hi -
The problem with most of these is that there just isn't space on the UI. For example, to have separate fill and stroke colors would require another color well. We would have to add even more views for the extra controls and then it starts to lose its appeal as a quick sketching app.
If Apple comes out with a larger touch screen device we will consider doing a full featured drawing program or it. |

I don't want to keep harping on the same issues, but other apps like iDoodle2 have a filled shape with a different color for the outline and the fill. It does require two screens, one for line color and one for the fill color. I don't know about anyone else, but that is okay by me. I would rather have more functionality, even if it means I have to visit another screen. The problem with iDoodle2 is that it cannot make a smooth line unless you draw very slow.
No one has a fill routine. I would like this because when you draw a shape, especially a vector shape, you don't want to mess it it up trying to paint inside the lines.
Right now, you this prog is just on the other side of functional for me. It just doesn't do quite enough. For you, I guess it is an issue of diminishing returns. But thanks, anyway.

Vector drawings with brush is really wonderful if this is created. I love the vector draw in the full version and being able to apply different brushes to it.

| There are some issues with making the mobile version too complicated for the general user. But the main problem, at this point, is that the iPhone OS is missing the routines (bits of code) used on the Mac for doing this. It's also also the reason why there is presently no option to smooth the brush strokes. I've filed an enhancement request with Apple. It came back marked as "duplicate - known issue" so maybe someday... |
