During your Nile Cruise, remember to rendezvous with your guide to visit the Karnak Temple, famous for the vastness of its pillared hall (134 columns aligned with 16 rows, alternating open and closed papyrus capitals, over 7 meters in diameter).
This is just half an hour drive to Esna, home port of the "dahabieh" elegant double Latin boat sailing, a modern replica of the sacred boats of the great pharaohs. The boats are installed with deck chairs or lying to East on cushions in the shade of stretched canvas.
They will give you an opportunity to enjoy the banks of the Nile landscape as you embark on your Nile cruise. The afternoon is for relaxation and contemplation. Lunch on board. Additionally, you will get an opportunity to enjoy an Egyptian dinner concocted by the Egyptian chefs.
You can also consider passing by El Kaab to visit the temple, the place of appointment of Horus and his wife Hathor from Dendera, on the feast of "the Beautiful Union". At this place, before going back on board, you can take your lunch and visit the temple of Edfu. Here, you are taken in carriages through the city breaking the monotony of long hours aboard your Nile cruise ship or boat.
This temple is one of the best preserved in Egypt, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. He is the one who best reflects contemplation and serenity sacred places. It's a real open book on myths and legends of the Pharaohs of Egypt. Carriage return to port to navigate to the beach on the island of Fawaz.
